Coast Guard Rescues Three After Sailing Vessel Sinks Near St.Mary’s Inlet

A U.S. Coast Guard boat crew rescued three people after their sailboat sank. The sailboat operator sent a call for help to the Jacksonville U.S. Coast Guard sector immediately when the boat began to take on water. All three passengers were wearing life jackets and boarded a dingy. All passengers were rescued and immediately evaluated by EMS in Fernandina Beach.
