Saved by the Jacket

Coast Guard and Orange County Sheriff’s Department crews on Saturday night rescued three men from a boat taking on water near Seal Beach.

“The prompt notification and action by the employee on the oil platform was vital to this successful interagency rescue,” said Cmdr. Lushan Hannah, Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach chief of response. “Good Samaritans have always played a critical role in assisting us with responding to mariners in distress.”
