Every year, the Safe Boating Campaign provides partners with a valuable toolkit full of free outreach and marketing materials. This partner toolkit includes an outreach plan, social media posts, education boating materials, videos, radio clips, fact sheets, and more. Everyone is invited and encouraged to use these materials!
If you are not signed up as a campaign partner, we encourage you to do so here. When you register as a partner, you are eligible for a free co-branded Wear It logo as well as other useful resources for your organization.
With summer approaching, there are a few important dates to remember:
- Wear Your Life Jacket at Work Day | Friday, May 21, 2021| Join in on the fun and wear your life jacket at work – whether that’s at home, the office, in a suit, or in your jammies – and don’t forget to snap a picture! Share on social media with the hashtags #lifejacketatwork and #safeboating. Be sure to tag us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with @BoatingCampaign.
- National Safe Boating Week | May 22-28, 2021 | The Safe Boating Campaign kicks off the weekend before Memorial Day with National Safe Boating Week and continues throughout the year with various events and activities. Find partners in your local community who support the Safe Boating Campaign and learn how you can get involved in outreach events. Remember, any time you’re boating, set the example for others and always wear a life jacket and boat responsibly. Follow us on social media @BoatingCampaign throughout the week for tips, contests, and more!
- Ready, Set, Wear It | Date you choose | Previously only offered on select dates throughout the summer, Ready, Set, Wear It is now implemented by campaign partners on various dates throughout the summer boating season. This family-friendly event teaches boaters about the importance of always wearing a life jacket, along with helpful care and maintenance information. With a bit of fun along the way! This may be a standalone event or incorporated into other local outreach efforts. #RSWI
All of these events help to raise boating safety awareness and can save lives!
