Two Rescued from Capsized Boat in Delaware River Near Worthington State Forest
Saved by the Jacket
Two people were taken to a local hospital after their boat capsized on the Delaware River near the Worthington State Forest Campground, according to a spokeswoman with the National Park Service. Park rangers were close by and responded to the campground by vehicle and by boat and were able to rescue both people, who Sandt said were wearing life jackets. “Life jackets really do save lives but only if you wear them,” she said. “The fact that these people were wearing their life jackets very well could have made all the difference in whether they went home alive today, or not.”
