Boat Burns, Sinks off Matapeake Beach

Maryland Natural Resources Police Officers working Queen Anne’s County received a call for a vessel fire in the Chesapeake Bay off of Matapeake Beach on Thursday, Sept. 3. Police learned there were three people in the water, all of whom were wearing life jackets. The vessel was engulfed in flames upon arrival, said Lauren Moses, NRP spokesman.
